Your details,handled plainly.

This site collects personal information only when you send it to us through a form. Here is what that covers, why we ask, who handles it, how long we keep it and how to ask for a copy or have it removed.

What we collect, and why

We use what you send to answer your enquiry, to prequalify your company for bid invitations, or to send you plan sets and keep a record of who downloaded which revision. We do not use it for anything else, we do not add you to marketing lists, and we do not sell it.

  • Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the project type and budget you pick, and your message.
  • Bid list prequalification. Your company's legal name and DBA, entity type, licence number, years in business, address, website, annual volume, crew size, trades and regions, bonding capacity, EMR, references, the estimating and billing contacts you name (name, title, email, phone), your insurance carrier and any notes.
  • Plan room. Your company, your name, email address, phone number and trade, recorded against the plan set you download so we know who is pricing from which revision.
  • Chat assistant. What you type into the chat window, used only to answer you. The conversation stays in your browser tab and is not stored by the site; our logs record that a chat happened, not what was said. In its standard mode the assistant answers from this website's own pages on our server. If we switch on its AI mode, your messages are sent to Anthropic, a US provider, to generate the reply, and the chat window says so.
  • Technical records. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs that include your internet address and the pages or forms you requested. We use them only to keep the site running and to stop abuse of the forms.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts are served from our own site. If we ever embed a film hosted on YouTube, it is loaded through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player and only when you press play. The Accessibility options button saves your display choices in your browser's own storage; nothing about them is sent to us.

Who handles it

Nielson Development is the business responsible for your information. These providers process it on our behalf, under their own security commitments:

  • Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox as email.
  • Google Workspace (Gmail) holds our inbox, where submissions are read and kept.
  • Railway hosts the website and keeps its short-lived server logs.
  • Cloudflare routes and protects traffic to the site, and stores our photographs and film (no personal information).

These providers operate in the United States. If you are writing to us from outside the United States, your information is transferred here to be handled.

How long we keep it

Enquiries, prequalifications and plan-room records are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, longer only where a project you are part of is still running or where we are required to keep records. Server logs are kept for no more than 30 days.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] or call +1 (435) 229-1673, and we will answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm it is you before we act. Where we must keep a record for a running project or for accounting or legal reasons, we will tell you what we are keeping and why.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, forms are rate-limited and screened for automated abuse, and submissions go straight to our inbox rather than being stored on the website itself. Access to that inbox is limited to the people who handle enquiries and bids.

Children

This site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
