Nielson RV Supercenter
The dealership Scott built from a two-car auction run into a roughly $50M-a-year operation — then sold to Camping World in 2021.
Nielson RV started in 2001 as Hurricane Valley Auto Mall, a used-car and used-RV lot Scott ran with his brother Mike. He bought out his brother's share in 2004, moved the dealership to State Street in Hurricane, and put his name on it.
By the 2010s it was the largest RV dealership in the region. In 2015 the company expanded into St. George with a 22,000-square-foot facility and a 150-foot flagpole that later became part of a veterans memorial donated to the City of Hurricane.
Scott developed and built the real estate himself — sales buildings, service bays, storage yards and the site work underneath all of it. That vertical integration is the origin of Nielson Development.
In March 2021 he sold the operation to Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis. At the time of the sale the business was generating roughly $50 million a year, with approximately $64 million in inventory, land and equipment.
